7 Cell phones, 6 batteries, 5 Sim-cards siezed from Barrack No 3 of Nagpur Central Jail

dhantoli police  mobile (5)Nagpur: With the pressure mounting from senior Prison officials and senior Police officials visiting the Nagpur Central Prison to conduct investigations into the circumstances that provided conducive opportunity for the escape of five dreaded criminals, the prison officials are practically on their toes.

Additional Director General (Law and Order) K L Bishnoi who is part of the High Level Committee constituted by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Nagpur Central Prison on April 5, 2015. He was inside the prison investigating the whole day. However, he refused to speak to the media personnel.

For once, the prison officials have started performing their duties in all earnest. This has yielded the prison officials to confiscate seven cell phone, six mobile batteries, five Sim cards and two mobile phone chargers. These mobile paraphernalia was confiscated from jail inmates of Barrack no 3.

After seizing the cell phones, batteries, Sim cards and chargers, the Nagpur Central Prison authorizes have registered a case in Dhantoli Police Station.

Sources in the police claimed that Nagpur Crime branch will investigate into the call-records and other details.
