ACB Cracks whip on Kalamna Constables.

Nagpur Crime News : More and more officials are falling prey to the traps laid by the ACB in Nagpur. So meticulously are all activities planned that escape is unthinkable. All credit goes to the ACB for rolling the wheel in cleaning the system. The Anti Corruption Bureau arrested Head Constable Vijay Raibhan Salve, Naik Police Constable Rajendra Vasudeo Panekar and Police Constable Nikesh Dharmaraj Hazare soon after they were trapped near a scrap stall. The arrested would often visit the stall of scrap dealer Rajkumar Sahu near Octroi Post No. 4. They would collect Rs 3,000 – Rs. 5,000 from scrap dealer Sahu after threstening to implicate him. The 3 policemen were a part of the DB squad. Fed up with the harassment by the cops for money, Sahu loged a complaint with senior ACB officers on Thursday. Immediately DCP – ACB Nishith Mishra decided to lay a trap to catch the corrupt cops. As the ACB personnel are known to most of the city cops, DCP Mishra direceted a team from Wardha to lay the trap. Accordingly Dy. Sp Devki Uikey and her team from Wardha laid the trap at arounf 1.30 pm near the scrap stall. The 3 tainted policemen were caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from Sahu. Offences against relevant sections have been registerd against the 3 policemen. The trap was laid by Dy. SP – ACB Devki Uikey, Head constables Pradeep Deshmukh, Rajendra Burbane, Girish Korde, Manish Ghode and ASI Ramakant Salve under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nitish Mishra and Dy. SP Purandare.
