Nagpur: Koradi police have booked a woman and her two sons for allegedly duping many women in the name of parking their funds in saving group or bachat gat.The accused have been identified as Asha Kshirsagar, Sandeep Kshirsagar and Milind Kshirsagar, all residents of Koradi road here.

A Bachat Gat is a small group of (10-15) individuals (generally women) living in close proximity who undertake income generating activities. This is achieved through their own meagre savings deposited into a common bank account which then enables them to borrow bank loans on a very nominal interest rate.

Police sources said the complainant identified as Usha Kochu Joseph Samveer, 40, resident of Near Modern School on Koradi Road had lodged a case of duping against the three. She told the police that the accused had taken Rs 2 lakhs and collectively Rs 12.29 lakhs from other women and duped them. Usha alleged that Asha was known to her. Both of them live in the same locality. From the year 2014 to 2016, Asha Kshirsagar had asked for a loan of Rs two lakhs for completing the construction work on her house.
