Nagpur News: Three tricksters duped an 85-year-old woman to the tune of Rs 28 lakh. The complainant, Arvinda Dhulabai Marse had a plot at flat no. 6/1, Dongre layout, Ambazari. Between the year 2012 and 2013, the accused Ravindra Shridharrao Fating (36), a resident of Garoba Maidan, Nasir and another of his mates cracked a deal with Arvinda to buy her plot in Rs 31 lakh. The accused gave her rs 3 lakh as advance payment and assured to pay the remaining Rs 28 lakh during registry of papers. The accused prepared a registry of Rs 15 lakh.
The accused, very smartly, got the registry papers signed by Arvinda of Rs 15 lakh and gave her a fake cheque of Rs 28 lakh on the fake name of Sajid Khan. When Arvinda went to deposit the cheque in the bank, she was shocked to discover that the bank account was already been blocked by the bank. She realized that she had been tricked.
Arvinda lodged a report with Ambazari Police Station against Ravindra, Nasir and one other accused. Cops registered an offence under relevant section of IPC and started investigating the case.
