4 goons demand extortion money from Ratrani Bar owner in Wadi, snatch cash and damage the place

Nagpur: A group of criminals demanded Rs 5000 extortion money from a bar owner and when he refused to part with the money the goons damaged the bar and also snatched cash from the bar counter at knife point. The goons have been booked and are being hunted by cops.

The complainant Rahul Kothiramji Vanjari (30), resident of Plot No. 23, near TCZ Godown, Waddhamna, runs the bar Ratrani Bar and Restaurant in Wadi on Nagpur-Amravati Highway. On Friday, around 8 pm, Rahul Vanjari was managing the bar counter as usual. At the same time, the group of criminals namely Krunal Devrao Satpute (23) of Hariom Society, Nagpur, Akash Vilas Narnavre (28), Pritam Sangale and Ashish Kayarwar, all residents of 8th Mile, Wadi, stormed into the bar and demanded Rs 5000 extortion money from Rahul Vanjari. However, when Rahul refused to part with the money, the goons whipped out a knife and snatched Rs 1900 from the bar counter. The four accused left the bar hastily but not before smashing furniture and other material of Ratrani Bar and Restaurant.

Wadi PSI Kharsan, acting on a complaint filed by Rahul Vanjari, has registered offences against the four accused Krunal Satpute, Akash Narnavre, Pritam Sangale and Ashish Kayarwar under Sections 385, 392, 427, 34 of IPC and mounted a search to nab them.
