Nagpur News: Koradi police have arrested three youths on the charges of assaulting father-son duo and robbing the housewife of gold jewelleries.

According to police, Bhururam Bideshiram Tandon (46), resident of New Rathod Layout, Ring Road, Gittikhadan, shouted and stopped two youths who were stealing petrol from a vehicle standing in front of his house. However, the youths, instead of desisting from stealing petrol, attacked Bhururam with fisticuffs and kicks. However, for the accused youths thrashing of Bhururam was not enough.

The accused youths Javed Ashfaq Khan (19), Palotti Nagar, Gourav Suresh Sonavane (22), Anant Nagar, and Firoze Siraz Khan (27), Rose Colony, Jaffer Nagar returned again to the spot and assaulted Bururam’s son Umesh Kumar (17) with a sword and hit it on shoulder of Umesh Kumar causing a deep injury. Bhururam, who tried to save his son, also was seriously injured as the trio attacked him too. The accused youths then targeted Bururam’s wife and snatched gold ornament from her and a mobile from Umesh collectively worth Rs 13,000. The incident occurred on Sunday night.

The injured Bhururam immediately went to Koradi Police Station and lodged a complaint against the three accused youths. Police booked the trio under Sections 394, 397, and Sub-Section 3+25 of IPC and arrested all the three goons.

Although the amount looks small, the gravity of crime could be gauged by the fact that the accused returned to the same spot to attack the father-son duo without any fear.
