Nagpur: Three bike-borne road robbers including a juvenile delinquent have been arrested by Kalamna police on Thursday.
According to police, the complainant Rajnish Ramrun Pandey (32), resident of Durga Nagar and his relative Radheshyam Bisen were returning home walking around 12.30 pm on Thursday. Midway on Laxmi Nagar-Bharatwada Road, the three accused riding triple seat on a bike accosted Rajnish and Radheshyam and picked a fight with them for no reason. The accused trio bashed up Rajnish and Radheshyam and snatched Rs 5000 cash from them and fled the spot.
Kalamna police after registering a case were searching for the accused trio. During probe, cops received information about involvement of the three accused.
Acting on the inputs, cops detained the three accused namely Rakesh Divanji Bisen (20) of Plot No. 198, Bharatwada, Shivshambhu Nagar, Yogesh Birsingh Shahu (18) of Bharat Nagar and the third accused who is juvenile delinquent. Cops seized the Hero Splendour bike (MH-49/AZ 0791) and recovered Rs 5000 cash robbed from Rajnish and Radheshyam.
The action was carried out by Senior PI Vishwanath Chavan, PI (Crime) Nitin Fatangare, PSI Amitkumar Atram, constables Chhagan Raut, Rajesh Tiwari, Kishore Devangan, NPC Rajesh Naik and sepoys Manoj, Ashok Tayde under the guidance of DCP Zone 5 Nilotpal, ACP Karyakarte.
