Nagpur: In an atrocious incident, three motorcycle-borne goons abducted a 19-year old girl in full public view at a busy market place in Gittikhadan area on Sunday afternoon. Cops have mounted a hunt to trace the girl and the kidnappers as well.

The unidentified complainant, resident of Gittikhadan, told police that her 19-year old daughter had gone to market at Anantnagar on Sunday. Around 4.30 pm, when she was returning home, the three motorcycle-borne goons, including Rasu Khan Nasim Khan (20) and his two other accomplices, accosted her and started hurling filthy abuses on the girl.

Even before the girl could react, suddenly the three accused caught hold of the girl and forced her to sit on their motorcycle and took her away. The outrageous daylight incident occurred right at the busy market place and in full public view. Gittikhadan police were immediately alerted about the abduction of the girl.

API Darekar, acting on a complaint filed a relative of the girl, has booked the accused Rasu Khan Nasim Khan and two others under Sections 363, 294, 506, 34 of IPC and spread a dragnet to nab the abductors and trace the girl.

Another girl kidnapped from Sports Complex:

The complainant and his family had gone to Mankapur Sports Complex at about 4 pm on Sunday to attend a public function. While the family was busy at the function, the 15-year old daughter of the complainant told him that she is going to have drinking water from a nearby tap or stall. However, to the bewilderment of the complainant, the girl did not return even after lapse of considerable time.

The panicky family searched her at the Sports Complex and at other places but to no avail. Finally, a missing complaint was lodged with Mankapur police.

PSI V N Atram, in accordance with the directives of Maharashtra Government and Supreme Court that any minor girl or boy goes missing then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the girl.
