3 Mayo doctors held guilty of negligence

Nagpur News : The Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital(Mayo) administration has found three doctors guilty of transfusing the wrong blood in a patient which in turn led to his death.

The doctors found guilty include Dr Kundal Surana, Dr Abhay Gajbhiye and Dr Rajesh Singhania.

It may be noted here that blood transfusion of a man named Parsuram Kolte (60) was performed on February 5 at 11 pm, after which he died. The patient was given blood of group O rather than A. Senior officials took cognizance of the matter and constituted a probe committee under Dr Sunil Lanjewar.

The committee submitted its report on Sunday. Dean Dr Prakash Vakode on Tuesday took his decision after going through the report.
