Nagpur: Three conmen, hailing from Navi Mumbai and Sangli, duped a city-based man to the tune of over Rs 12 lakh in a business deal. The cheating took place between March, 2014 and May, 2016. The three accused have been booked and are being searched.
The complainant Nitesh Indrapal Wahane (33), resident of Plot No. 389, Kukde Layout, told police that the accused Mrutyunjoy Banerjee, Adityakumar Banerjee, both natives of Belapur, Navi Mumbai and Rajuddin Kadar Mulani of Hingna Village (Khurd), District Sangli, approached him with a lucrative business proposition. With this business offer, the three accused took Rs 12.31 lakh for one reason or the other between the aforesaid period. However, despite taking the huge amount, no business was coming to Nitesh from the accused. Realizing that he has been cheated, Nitesh approached Hudkeshwar police and registered a case in this connection.
API Avate has booked the three accused conmen under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC against the three accused and searching for them.
