26 medals for Nagpur karatekas in 34th Maharashtra State Karate Championship

Nagpur News: The karatekas from Nagpur displayed outstanding performance and clinched total 26 medals including 16 gold, four silver and six bronze medals in 34th Maharashtra State Karate Championship held at Nanded recently.

Around 350 karatekas from 28 districts participated in the said meet. The medal winners include 15 to 16 years: Sachin Borkar (two gold), Arshad Khan (one gold), Himanshu Dane (one gold),Mayur Dumre (one gold), Payal Kodnate (two gold), Tina Thankar (one gold) and Himangi Gore (one gold). 17 to 18 years: Shubham Ikhar (one gold, one bronze) Mukesh Pichode (one gold), Sureshlal Pichode (one gold), Shubham Pardhi (one silver), Harshal Dardemal (one silver), Hema Gharpande (one silver).

Above 19 years: Mohit Pandya (one gold, one bronze), Akshay Pathrabe (one silver), Avinash Ingole (one bronze), Devish Katare (one bronze), Parag Salame (one bronze), Dheeraj Nikhare (one bronze), Raj Bahoriya (one bronze), Priyanka Kale (one gold, one silver ) and Shubhangi Chanre (one gold). All the successful karatekas are the members of District Karate Association of Nagpur. Its president Akash Sarode, vice-president Prashant Dekate, general secretary Sanjay Ingole, treasurer Nilesh Shende and others have congratuleted the karatekas for their outstanding performance.
