26 boxes of Micromax mobile phones worth Rs 12 lakh stolen from container truck; cops hunt burglars

Unidentified burglars broke open the lock of a container truck door and decamped with boxes of Micromax mobile phones worth Rs 12 lakh. The theft reportedly occurred in the wee hours of March 17. Cops have launched a massive hunt to nab the accused pilferers.
The container truck (MH-04/FP 8191) belonged to Amol Maroti Navadkar (33), resident of Plot No. 392, Gajanan Society, Dattawadi, Nagpur. Amol’s driver Mohammed Rafiq parked the goods laden truck at a vacant ground in front of Vijay Transport Agency on Nagpur-Amravati Highway No. 6. However, between 0030 hours of March 16 and 0645 hours of March 17, some unidentified burglars broke open the rear door lock of the container truck and decamped with 26 boxes of Micromax mobile phones worth Rs 12 lakh.
Wadi PSI Kharsan, acting on the complaint of Amol Navadkar, booked the unidentified burglars under Section 379 of IPC and launched a hunt to nab them.
Nagpur, under relevant sections of IPC and seized the bogus electrical spare parts valued at Rs 9.52 lakh. Further probe is underway.

The CBI, probing the case on the directions of the Supreme Court, has filed a chargesheet recently in a court here.
