Nagpur: In a spurt of rape incidents, one more 16-year old girl was exploited sexually by a 38-year old man in a lodge on Mansar-Ramtek Road on Wednesday, March 21. The accused first took the girl’s family to Ramtek in his car for ‘darshan’ and then asked her to accompany him for bringing kidney stone report. Instead, the pervert accused took the girl to a lodge and raped her.
A resident of Yogi Arvind Nagar, Pande Basti, Jaripatka, Nagpur, the accused has been identified as Amar Mannulal Gaur (38). Around 3 pm on Wednesday, the accused Amar Gaur took the 16-year old girl and her family to Ramtek in his car. The accused told the girl’s family to have ‘darshan’ and asked her to accompany him for bringing a report about kidney stone. As the unsuspecting girl accompanied the accused in his car, he drove her on Mansar-Ramtek Road and booked a room in a lodge. Later, the accused Amar Gaur raped her in the room and also threatened her of dire consequences if she narrated about his act to anybody. However, the victimised girl gathered courage and told her family about the heinous incident. The family took her to Jaripatka police and asked her to register a case against the accused.
Jaripatka police constable Manohar, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Amar Gaur under Sections 376, 354(A), 506 of the IPC read with Sections 3, 4, 7, 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused has so far not been arrested.
