Nagpur News : A 14-year-old girl, riding her bicycle, was killed in a road accident at Sugat Nagar road in Jaripatka police station area on Sunday morning. Simran Patil, a resident of Samata Nagar, was accompanied with her neighbouring friend Rajbala, who was on other bicycle.
The duo was heading to buy kerosene for household purpose.
Simran, an eighth standard student of Dayanand High School, was riding along the road side when a speeding truck driver knocked down her bicycle. Simran, lost balance and came under the rear wheels of the truck.Fearing public wrath, the truck driver left the vehicle and fled the spot. Passers-by rushed Simran to nearby hospital but declared brought dead by the doctor.

Angered over the mishap, few residents damaged the truck and created tension at the spot to arrest the accused driver.
