Nagpur News : A 50-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a ten-year-old minor girl at Vinoba Bhave Nagar in Yashodhara Nagar area on Sunday afternoon.
Accused Yashwant Diwate is the victim’s neighbour. Police said that the minor was playing near her residence when Diwate called her to help him in some household work and attempt to sexually assault her.
Diwate, is father of three children.

The girl’s scream alerted her family members who then rushed to rescue her. Diwate was severely thrashed by residents and later handed her to police. A case of rape and attempt to rape has been registered.
This is the second rape incident in a week. Three days before, a 12-year-old blind girl was raped by her neighbour at servant quarters in Vayu Sena Nagar.
He was beaten up by the group and stabbed with a sharp object. A case of outraging the modesty of a woman was also registered.
