Nagpur: A 13-year old boy returning home in an auto went missing and has reportedly been kidnapped by unidentified person(s) in Sadar area here on Thursday afternoon.
A resident of Khurana Nagar, near TV Tower, Vilangani Robin Joseph (32), told police that she hired an auto for her son Himanwel (13) in front of Tidke Vidyalaya, Katol Road and asked him to go home around 12.30 pm on Thursday. Later, she went to her work. However, when Vilangani returned home in the evening, she found her son nowhere in the house. Vilangani searched her son frantically but could not find him. The panicky Vilangani finally lodged a missing complaint with Sadar police.
Police constable Chintaman, as per the directives of Supreme Court that if a minor girl or boy goes missing then the case be treated as that of kidnapping, registered an offence under Section 363 and launched a search to trace the boy.
