Nagpur: A 25-year-old youth was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Wednesday morning on Narsala Road near the Outer Ring Road, Hudkeshwar.
The deceased, Roshan Balaji Zade, was riding his Activa moped (MH-49-CU-3047) when an unidentified speeding four-wheeler rammed into his vehicle. Police said the driver was operating the vehicle in a “reckless, negligent and dangerous manner.”

Zade suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him dead.
Following a complaint by his mother, Yashoda Balaji Zade (40), Hudkeshwar Police registered a case under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the IPC, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Hudkeshwar police teams are scanning CCTV footage to trace the fleeing vehicle.
Police have appealed to witnesses to come forward with any information that may help identify the accused driver.
