Nagpur: In a ghastly incident, a youth was killed and a girl was injured seriously when a speeding truck went berserk and crushed a roadside two wheeler parked in front of Sai Baba Mandir on Wardha Road on Saturday morning. The youth and the girl were sitting on the two-wheeler.
The identity of the deceased youth and the injured girl could not be ascertained till filing of this report.

According to sources, an LPG cylinders laden truck (MH-40/6747) was being driven rashly. The speeding truck went berserk and crashed onto the two-wheeler parked at a roadside opposite Sai Baba Mandir on Wardha Road around 11.45 am on Saturday. The unidentified youth and the girl were sitting on the two-wheeler. The two-wheeler was crushed under diesel tank of the truck killing the youth on the spot and injuring the girl seriously. The truck also dashed against wall of a nearby house.
On being informed, a team of police from Dhantoli Police Station led by woman police officer Sarita Yadav reached the spot and started investigations. After the fatal accident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot and blocked the traffic resulting in serpentine jam on the road. Traffic cops too reached the spot and cleared the jam.
