Nagpur: A youth was killed and his two friends injured seriously when the car they were travelling in rammed a negligently parked truck in Pachpaoli area here on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Akshay Vinod Bhange (22), resident of Plot No. 160, Ambedkar Colony, Lashkaribagh. The injured are Gaurav Ravindra Pillewan and Mayur Sharad Kawade, both residents of Lashkaribagh.
Around 11.30 pm on Friday, Akshay along with Gaurav and Mayur were going in a Tata Indigo car (MH-31/EQ 0264). Gaurav Pillewan was driving the car. Midway near Ashok Nagar Anand Bouddha Vihar, a 10-wheeler tipper truck (Mh-40/Y 4486) was parked negligently on the middle of the road.
As the car of the trio was passing through the spot, Gaurav could not see the parked truck and rammed his car onto the truck with forceful impact. As a result, Akshay Bhange suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. Gaurav and Mayur were also injured.
Pachpaoli PSI DV Shisode, based on a complaint lodged by Mahendra Tulsiram Bhange (55), booked the truck driver under Sections 283, 304(A) of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
