A 20-year-old-youth was killed by his friend in rage after an altercation between them on speed of bike. The murder took place at Pujaram Wadi, Deepti Signal, on Friday night.
The deceased is identified as Sonu Yadav, a resident of Deepti Signal. Murderer Manoj Sahoo, 24, has been arrested by Kalamna police.
Police informed that around 6 pm, Yadav and Sahoo were driving their bikes at high speed. Police told that the friends had allegedly bet for a drive at different speeds. The friendly bet turned sour after the duo entered into an argument. The fight was however resolved by nearby residents. After an hour, Sahoo came back with sharp weapons and repeatedly stabbed Yadav to death. He was arrested immediately by police. A murder case has been registered.
