Nagpur: In another fine example of how gullible some youth can be, four accused duped an unemployed youth and looted of Rs 1.6 lakhs by promising job in Merchant Navy.

When the victim started insisting on the job that they had promised and taken Rs 1.6 lakhs from him, the four youth started procrastinating. The accused are identified as Ajit Singh from Nagpur, Adesh from Nagpur, Vivek Jogender Singh from Nagpur and Imran from Kolkatta.

According to police sources, the victim identified as Rajesh Bhagat aged 24 years and a resident of Khairlanji, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh had lodged a complaint with Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station. The victim had alleged that from March 3, 2015 to March 17, 2016, the accused Ajit Singh, Imran, Adesh and Vivek Jogender Singh had promised a job in Merchant Navy and had fleeced Rupees one lakh sixty thousand for procuring the job.

However, when the victim started asking the accused about the job, they started procrastinating and dilly-dallying the issue. When the victim realized that he has been taken for a ride, he started demanding the money back, the accused refused to return the money back.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Rajesh Bhagat, Police Sub Inspector Godmale of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station registered a case against the accused under Section 420 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further.
