Nagpur: While there are many merits in the advancement of communication technology and can be used for various positive uses, many seem to be misusing the advanced means of communication. Many youth misuse the social media for their ulterior motives thereby committing crime.

In a recent case, a Bhopal youth had uploaded an obscene photograph of a girl who is working as a paramedical staff of Gastro Care Hospital in Habibganj by creating her fake profile on social networking site Facebook. The victim girl who is a Nagpur-based girl had completed her Bachelor’s degree in Paramedical Technology (BPMT) from Nagpur and later joined Gastro Care Hospital in Bhopal.

The accused is identified as Nilesh Sen a resident of Silwani, Raisen district. Sources claimed that the victim had developed friendship with Nilesh Sen who was also working in the same hospital. However, due to some reasons, she shifted back to Nagpur.

However, the accused Nilesh Sen created a fake ID on her Facebook account and uploaded some obscene photographs of the victim, thus outraging her modesty. When the victim came to notice these obscene photographs, she lodged a complaint with Mankapur Police Station. The cops of Mankapur Police Station sent the Case diary to Habibganj Police Station under whose jurisdiction the accused worked.

Habibganj police in-turn have registered a case under IT Act. Investigation Officer, Police Sub Inspector (Habibganj) Vandana Dubey is investigating the case.
