Nagpur News : Sadar police booked a youth for duping a company to the tune of Rs 3.10 lakh. The fraud took place on February 11 this year, the police confirmed.
According to information, the youth in question booked a Suzuki moped from Rishikesh Motors Pvt Ltd but for some reasons he cancelled the booking. The accountant from the company gave him a account pay cheque of Rs 1,000 of Allahbad Bank, Sadar branch. However, the youth tampered the cheque and filled an amount of Rs 3.10 lakh in the cheque and withdrew the amount from the company account.
The accountant Sandip Charandas Khatri discovered the fraud and lodged a complaint with Sadar police station. Cops have registered an offence under sections 465, 467, 468, 471 and 420 of the IPC against the youth. Further investigations are under way.
