Nagpur News : Lakadganj police arrested a goon on Monday for demanding extortion money from a wine-shop owner and threatening his staff.
Police said, Nikhil Babanrao Bhoyar (24), a resident of Wardhaman Nagar, Plot No. 307/B, near VMV College, owned a liquor shop ‘Sagar Wine Shop’ in Danaganj, Lakadganj. The accused Sunny alias Mayur Dhiraj Samudre (22) had been visiting the shop for past month and used to snatch away liquor bottles from staff without paying money. On Sunday, Sunny along with his other accomplice barged into the shop, threatened the staff of dire consequence, and demanded money from them. He grabbed liquor bottle worth Rs 900 and left the shop after issuing life-threatening warnings.
Acting swiftly on the complaint of Nikhil, Lakadganj police arrested Sunny and slapped charges under Sections 386, 448 and 34 of the IPC. Search for the other accused is still.
