Young woman duped into providing bank details; lost Rs 11,000 from account

Beware before you share your personal and banking information, especially the crucial pin codes with any of the persons who may dent your bank accounts with a sizeable chunk of your balance. In similar such incident, a young girl fell prey to the ill tactics of a
tricksters who conned the lady into sharing bank details and ended up losing Rs 11,000 gone from her account. The incident took place under Ambazari police station on June 21.
Police sources said 24-year-old Neetu Jadhav received a phone call on June 21 at around 10.45 am. The caller assured her that he was calling on behalf of Canara Bank. He won her trust and asked her account details on the pretext of some improvements in the details. Unaware of his intentions, the girl gave away her account details to the caller.
She also gave the ATM code to the youth. Later, she discovered that Rs 11,050 have been withdrawn from her
account. Shocked with the news, Neetu reached Ambazari police station and lodged a complaint.
