Nagpur: In a curious turn of events, a young woman unequivocally has charged that her husband was kidnapped and presumably murdered by his friends over property matter. Cops have registered a case and mounted an in-depth investigation to dig out the truth.

The complainant woman Savitri Manish Srivas (28), resident of Motibagh, Bhonsale Wadi, near Sai Mandir, told the police that her husband, Manish, and his friends Issac Maste and Chhotu Bagde were property dealers. In 2011, a person named Abid was murdered in Yashodharanagar Police Station jurisdiction. Name of Savitri’s husband also figured in the crime as one of the accused forcing him to stay out of te house most of the times ostensibly to evade arrest. However, Manish had come to house a few days later, probably on 25.2.2012. At that time a phone call was received by Savitri’s husband from Chhotu Bagde. Bagde asked Manish to meet him. Subsequently, Manish informed his brother Manoj Srivas and mother Narmadabai that he was going to meet Chhotu Bagde and left home. However, Manish has not returned home till to date and his whereabouts too were not known. Thinking that Manish could have been living somewhere at undisclosed place, Savitri and other family members did not bother to find him. However, a few days back, Savitri and other family members came to know that Issac Maste, Chhotu Bagde and their accomplices allegedly kidnapped Manish and did something horrible to him, most probably murdered him.

Panchpaoli API Keche, based on the apprehension and a formal complaint lodged by Savitri, has registered a case under Section 365 of IPC against the accused and launched a thorough probe to dig out the truth.
