Nagpur: A herd of cattle on road claimed life of a 32-year old bike riding man in Hingna area here on Monday.
According to police, the deceased Vijay Prabhakar Chaudhary (32), resident of Degma Pinjari in Hingna jurisdiction, was riding his two-wheeler (MH-31/E 4086) around 7.15 pm on Monday. As he neared Amgaon Devli area, a herd of cattle was crossing the road. Vijay initially tried to negotiate the passing cattle but could avert his bike crashing on one of the cattle. As a result, his two-wheeler skidded off the road and Vijay fell with forceful impact. A seriously injured Vijay was taken to a nearby hospital but doctors there declared him brought dead.
Hingna police, based on a complaint of Sachin alias Golu Kaole, have registered a case of accidental death. Further probe is underway.
