Young man dies after his motorcycle stumbles upon a big stone lying on road near Kachipura

Tragedy struck the Chincholkar family when their only son Ananta died in a road accident on Saturday night.

According to police and eyewitness reports, the son of Vinayakrao Chincholkar, former staffer of The Hitavada, and husband of Manjushree, presently an employee of The Hitavada daily newspaper, Ananta was on way to pick up Manjushree from her office. He was proceeding to The Hitavada from Bajaj Nagar Square towards Lokmat Square. However, between the Bajaj Nagar Square and Kachipura Square (Agriculture College Hostel), Ananta reportedly stumbled upon a big stone lying on the road near Hyundai Service Centre and lost control over his Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (MH-31/BT 1129). The out of control motorcycle hit the road divider in force hurling Ananta in the air. Ananta too crashed on the divider with great impact and received grave head injuries and died on the spot. The accident occurred at about 10.30 in the night of Saturday. The most tragic part of the accident was that Ananta always wore helmet, as his friends and relatives said. Why he did not wear the helmet at that particular time the answer of which only the destiny could reveal. Ananta was 36.

The Sitabuldi Police Station personnel reached the spot and after completing the paper formalities, sent Ananta’s body to Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Ananta’s body was brought to Chincholkar family’s residence in Patrakar Sah Nivas (Patrakar Colony) in the early afternoon of Sunday and the funeral procession was taken out after some time. A large number of his relatives, friends, journalists joined the funeral procession. Ananta was cremated at Ambazari Ghat where his father lit the pyre.

Ananta leaves behind his parents, wife, a 3-year old daughter, a married sister and host of relatives and friends to mourn the loss.
