Work of land measurement for Empress Mill road completed after CM’s order

Nagpur: Following the directives of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, work of land measurement for 15-meter road from Empress Mill land at East Gate of Railway Station to Rajwada Palace, Ganjipeth in Prabhag 19, was undertaken by City Survey, Town Planning Department, and Maharashtra State Textile Corporation Ltd (MSTC). The land which was measured and marked for layout would be transferred to Nagpur Municipal Corporation for construction of the 15-meter road.

It may be recalled that the issue was pending with MSTC since the year 2004. But due to the efforts put in by senior Corporator Dayashankar Vyas and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the Chief Minister directed the work of land measurement that was done on Thursday, February 16.

In Bajaria locality premises, Maharashtra State Textile Corporation Ltd possessed 14 acre open land where setting up of a Textile Park has been proposed. In the same premises, a 1.5 acre land, 15-meter wide and 388 meter road is situated. Now, this land will be transferred to NMC for construction of the new road. The last date for submitting tenders is February 22. The issue pending since 2004 has now been resolved following directives of Chief Minister and special efforts of Principal Secretary of Textile Department Govindraj.

Those present on the occasion of land measurement work include Corporator Dayashankar Tiwari, Junior Engineer Surendra Dudhe, Town Planning Department’s Girish Likhar, Ajay Kakirwar, and residents of the area Brujbhushan Shukla, Amol Kolhe, Avinash Kokate, Mahesh Kukreja, Shaym Gaur, Ratan Shrivas, and MSTC’s Pillewan and Taj Sheikh.
