“Work Hard, Work Smart: Students Must Embrace AI” : Mr. Arvind Kumar, TCS Head, Nagpur

Nagpur: The Annual Social Gathering of Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering and Technology, Utsav-2026 was organized from 27th February to 01st March 2026. The closing ceremony was held in the presence of the chief guest of the program Hon. Arvind Kumar, TCS Head, Nagpur, GWCET Principal Dr. Salim Chavan, Vice Principal Dr. Rakesh Srivastava, Registrar Prof. Aviskar Wanjari, Polytechnic Coordinator Prof. Raj Kuhite, Festival In-charge Dr. Payal Pashine, Co-in-charge Prof. Vipin Jais.Apart from this, an alumni gathering was also organized on the same day at Utsav-2026. The program began with the felicitation of the guests and was followed by the distribution of prizes to the students who excelled in various sports and cultural programs organized at the social gathering.

Principal Dr. Salim Chavan enlightened the students that participation of students is essential for social development. Participation teaches more important lessons in life, it does not matter whether you win or lose, only the courage to participate is important. He also emphasized that failure is the first step to success. In addition, the Principal told the alumni that I am sure that you will remain connected with us throughout your life. This is an occasion when students relive their memories and look forward to new interactions with new hopes.The chief guest of the program, TCS Head Hon.

Arvind Kumar, in his speech, told the students about new innovations and how to use various tools. Students should know how those tools are used in various projects. Various AI techniques are available, everyone should know how to solve real-life problems on their own. He guided the students to work hard and increase your thinking power to innovate new techniques using various AI tools. He appreciated the efforts made by the organization by encouraging students to participate in various technical activities like national and state level programs by contributing to the society.
