Nagpur News: Tension ran high in Parivarpura area of Gandhibagh when a woman’s head-crushed body was found at about 11.30 am on Sunday (March 9).DCP Sanjay Darade, ACP Kumre, Lakadganj Police Station Police Inspector Satyanarayan Jaiswal along with a team of policemen reached the spot and have started preliminary investigation into the murder of the woman aged between 30-35 years.

According to sources, the woman was resident of Kamptee and was living with her two sons. The woman was reportedly deserted by her husband a few years ago. When the sources talked with the priest of Jain Mandir in the area, he said the woman used to roam in the area begging for food. She visited the area 3-4 times in a day. The priest further said that woman was allegedly mentally deranged and used to abuse every man or woman passing through the area in dirty words. The area is visited by other beggars also, the priest said.

When Nagpur Today contacted the PI Satyanarayan Jaiswal for further information, he confirmed that body of woman with her head and face crushed apparently by a big stone has been found. The woman was probably murdered last night at an abandoned old and half constructed structure where many beggars spend nights. The PI Jaiswal said the body of woman has been sent to Mayo Hospital for postmortem after preliminary investigation and paper works. The postmortem report could reveal more facts about the murder of the woman, Jaiswal said.

The area is very sensitive being near to Mominpura, Lakadganj and busy Gandhibagh. Police have registered an offence under relevant sections of the IPC and are probing the matter further.
