Nagpur News: The Sonegaon police have arrested a man for abetting suicide by his wife.
According to police, the woman Varsha Milind Karande (38), resident of Shilpa Society, Manish Nagar, took the drastic step for escaping the daily physical and mental torture by her husband over one reason or the other. The traumatized Varsha decided to end her tormentation once and for all and accordingly committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan. However, before ending her life, Varsha noted down the actions of torture by her husband in a suicide note.
However, Sonegaon police had registered a case of accidental death. But acting on a complaint lodged by Varsha’s brother Prashant Nagorao Kurvey (44), a resident of Manglwaripeth Umred, police booked Milind Karande under Sections 306, 498 (a) of IPC and arrested him for abetting suicide by Varsha.
