Nagpur: A middle aged woman was robbed of her newly purchased gold chain at Tekdi Ganesh Temple on Tuesday evening.
The Udaynagar resident Shakuntala Beratwar (56) purchased a gold chain from New Dore Jewellers for Rs 45,000. After buying the gold stuff, she went to Tekdi Ganesh Temple around 5 pm for ‘darshan.’ As Shakuntala was standing in the queue, an unidentified miscreant filched her handbag and decamped with the gold chain. After the theft, Shakuntala approached Sitabuldi Police Station and registered a case.
Cops have booked the unidentified ruffian and searching for him or her.
