Nagpur: In what could be mentioned as breach of trust, a man raped a woman in a lodge in Wadi area on April 9, 2016. The accused is identified as Sanjay Meshram aged 40 years and a resident of Aatva Mile.
According to police sources, in the month of April, 2014, the accused Sanjay Meshram and the victim got acquainted. Soon the acquaintance turned to friendship and eventually into romantic relationship. The victim alleged that the accused enticed her and took her to the Pratibha Lodge in Wadi area on Amravati Road.
However, when the victim proposed marriage, the accused flatly refused. Even after frequent request, when the accused refused to get married to her, as a last resort, the victim had lodged a complaint with the Wadi Police Station.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim, the cops of Wadi Police Station have registered a case against the accused and have arrested the accused Sanjay Meshram.
