Body thrown in front of KDK college to lead the cops astray
Nagpur: Some dispute led to the murder of a youth in Nandanvan by attacking him with sharp edged weapons and smashing his head with a boulder later. The deceased is identified as Ashok Tulsiram Umbarkar aged 27 years and a resident of Hiwri Nagar.
According to sources, the murder is allegedly committed by his friends. The Nandanvan Police has arrested two persons for their involvement in the murder. The murder is said to have committed in Shaktimata Nagar in the house of one of the friends of the deceased.
Sources claimed that the deceased is the brother of a Woman Police Sub Inspector posted in Kotwali Police Station. He was said to be a driver. According to police sources, the deceased Ashok Tulsiram Umbarkar a resident of Hiwri Nagar was found in a pool of blood in the house of his friend situated in Shaktimata Nagar.
On receipt of information, the Nandanvan Police reached the spot. The police officials dispatched the body for post mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital after performing the panchanama and other formalities.
It is said that the deceased Ashok had gone to his friend’s house. It is assumed that some dispute could have ensued. When the dispute intensified, his friends had joined together and murdered by attacking Ashok with sharp edged weapons.
After murdering the victim, deceased Ashok, the accused smashed his head with a boulder to hide the identity of the deceased.
In an attempt to destroy the evidence, the accused went on to take the dead-body of the deceased and dump it in front of KDK College.
The Nandanvan Police has registered a case of murder and has started the investigation in all earnest. The police suspect that the murder could have taken place due to some financial dispute.
Deceased and murderers with close friends
Sources claimed that the murderer was close friend of the deceased. Police is astonished as to why such a close friend would go on to murder the deceased. The police are exploring all angles to investigate the cause of the murder.
