Nagpur: A con woman, posing as ICICI Bank official, duped a senior citizen to the tune of Rs 30,000. The accused trickster is being searched by Sitabuldi police.
The complainant, Jawahar Rawal, resident of Lendra Park, Ramdaspeth, told police that he received a phone call from the woman on December 25, 2016. The caller identified herself as ICICI Bank official and sought to verify Jawahar’s credit card details. Believing the caller as ICICI Bank official, Jawahar provided vital details of his credit card to the con woman. Later, armed with the details, the fake ICICI Bank official withdrew Rs 30,000 from the account of Jawahar. When he came to know about the cheating, Jawahar lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police.
Cops have booked the unidentified woman trickster and searching her.
