Nagpur: A woman was molested by an unidentified person at a posh hotel in Dhantoli area of city on Thursday evening. Shouts for help saved the day for the woman. A hunt has been mounted to nab the pervert accused.
The heinous incident took place at at a posh Hotel in the city situated right in front of Dhantoli Police Station. The 35-year old woman had gone to washroom of the pub in the hotel. When she came out, an unidentified person started indulging in vulgar acts with the helpless woman. As soon as the victimized woman shouted for help the lewd accused person fled the spot.
Dhantoli PSI Kankal, acting on the complaint lodged by the woman, has booked the accused under Section 354 of IPC and searching for him.
Talking to Nagpur Today, the Dhantoli Police Inspector Rajan Mane said the complainant woman and her husband had thrown a party to their tuition class students at a posh Hotel in the city on Thursday afternoon. While the party was goinmg on, the woman had gone to washroom of Ice Naun Pub in the hotel. When the woman came out, she was molested. The victimised woman, in her complaint, has doubted role of a waiter of the hotel in outraging her modesty. Subsequently, all the waiters of the Hotel were paraded before the complainant woman. However, she failed to identify the accused. Cops are also scanning the CCTV footage to get any clue on the identity of the culprit. Further investigation is going on, said the PI Rajan Mane.
