Nagpur: Grief-stricken after the suicide of her best friend, a 22-year-old woman, Priyanka Nandrao Sarate too died by suicide by jumping into a water tank in her house at Santaji Nagar in Nandanvan area., said police. Her body was fished out on Wednesday. Sarate’s friend and roommate had ended her life six months ago.
In yet another case, Kunal Gulab Mahato, 32, died by suicide at his residence at Joshiwadi, Ajni, on Thursday after being disappointed with his wife leaving home with their children.

In the third incident, 51-year old Rakesh Bhaurao Dhoke took the extreme step by hanging from the window rod with a scarf in his house at Plot No 272, Siddharth Nagar, Teka, around 2.20 am on Thursday.
In the fourth incident, Mithun Maroti Sonkusre (26), a resident of Vasuli Wadi, Tandapeth, was found hanging from an iron grill with a nylon rope around 7.30 pm on Wednesday. The reason behind his suicide could not be ascertained so far.
Pachpaoli, Ajni and Nandanvan Police registered separate cases under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and started investigations.
