Nagpur:
Tehsil police have booked three persons on the charges of defrauding a woman to the tune of Rs 7.50 lakh on the pretext of helping her daughter get admission in BAMS.

The three accused Manish Korde (26) of Chitnis Nagar, Rohit Kanojiya (26) of Zingabai Takli and Jyotsana Kapil Tyagi (42), Manish Nagar, approached Vanashri Umredkar and ‘promised’ to help her daughter get admission in BAMS. On this pretext, the accused took Rs 7.50 lakh from Vanashri in June-July of 2016.

The word of the accused turned out to be bogus one as Vanashri’s daughter never got admission in BAMS. The accused even did not return the money to Vanashri despite frequent demand. Realizing that she had been cheated, Vanashri registered a case at Tehsil Police Station against the accused trio.

All the three accused have been booked and further investigation is underway.
