Nagpur: A 26-year old woman and 6-year old girl were raped in separate incidents. The accused in both the cases have been booked but no arrest has so far been made.
In the first incident, a pervert 45-year old man, identified as Gopal Bisenlal Shahu, resident of Navin Nagar, Pardi, trailed and stalked a 26-year old woman in the past three years from June 2014 to May 10, 2017. The accused Gopal Shahu tried to “befriend” the girl on one pretext or another. According to the complaint lodged by the girl with Dhantoli Police Station, the accused raped her at a place in Suryanagar, Pardi coming under Kalamna police jurisdiction.
Based on the complaint of the girl and a case forwarded by Dhantoli police, Kalamna police constable Rameshwar has booked the accused Gopal Shahu under Sections 354(A)(1)(D), 376(N), 506 of the IPC and launched a detailed probe into the matter.
In another incident, a 19-year old boy named Akshay Satish Ambadkar, resident of Nandanvan area, raped a 6-year old neighbouring girl when she went the house of the accused for watching TV. On August 13, between 4 and 4.30 pm, the girl went to the house of accused Akshay to watch TV. Taking advantage of no one present in the house, the accused raped the kid girl. The girl later narrated the heinous act of accused to her parents who registered a case with Nandanvan police in this connection.
Woman PSI S S Chauhan has booked the accused Akshay Ambadkar under Sections 376(2)(I), 506 of the IPC read with Sections 4, 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
