Nagpur News: Will it be Ramtek, Bhiwandi, Thane or Kalyan? The political picture has started with no “Interval”, no “The End” as talks on poll equations, numbers game, adjustments, and finally the constituencies of choice and the subsequent “winning” candidates have picked the momentum with Lok Sabha elections drawing closer and closer.

At present, the old allies Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party have initiated “Amrut Manthan” (Winning Churning) over constituencies with sharp sights on the prospects of victories. And the crucial Ramtek seat is on top of the agenda, till now the fortress of Shiv Sena, and now, the focus of BJP. The political situations change dramatically and timely.

Both Shiv Sena and BJP are already in battlefield even before the Lok Sabha poll bugle has not been sounded. The “battle” for choicest seats. According to reports, Shiv Sena is likely to field its candidate in Bhiwandi and the BJP the Ramtek. The poll equations point out the “Great Exchange” as the BJP candidate from Bhiwandi had tasted defeat at the hands of Congress in 2009 Lok Sabha elections and Shiv Sena lost Ramtek, also to Congress. However, for this election, both parties have almost decided to go for “Winning Exchange” with Shiv Sena fighting Bhiwandi and the BJP the Ramtek. Thane, Kalyan fall in the line of second and third choice. But BJP focus in on Ramtek.

The BJP strategy is both Nagpur and Ramtek should be in its pockets thus changing the Vidarbha scenario. BJP is hoping 7 seats out of 10 in Vidarbha if the Ramtek seat comes to the party quota. The BJP is also expecting a wave in favour of the party and if that happens, BJP will rule Vidarbha, and even the country. BJP has been keeping an eye on Ramtek seat since past many years but the win for Shiv Sena in past elections forced BJP to turn half-blinded, half-hearted and, hopeless, too. But the situation has changed. It will be for the first time that BJP will throw its weight and might on campaigns for both Nagpur and Ramtek, if and only if, Shiv Sena offers the Ramtek seat to BJP on poll platter.

However, the internal bickering in Shiv Sena continues to haunt Shiv Sena with factions within raising their ugly heads every now and then. Most importantly, both BJP and Shiv Sena are well-apprised of their strengths and going alone would prove a disaster for them. Both the parties, ideologically are hesitating to put their hands in their pockets to offer or exchange the seats even though the present situation warrants the adjustments.

The names for Ramtek seat from BJP are taking rounds include former Mayor Rajesh Tambe, the first and foremost if Ramtek falls in BJP net.
