It was indeed a poignant moment, when a few harsh realities of the society came forth through Hindi one-act plays staged by Drighanchu Theatre in collaboration with Hislop Centre for performing Arts.

In the first play ‘Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kaate’, the depiction of evils of modern society through the eyes of common crow was a heart-wrenching act  to watch.

The character of crow, together with the characters like ‘Mithilesh’-a deep and serious playwright, a philanthropist doctor, the saint and ‘sidekick’, all respectively played by the director Raja Mukherjee, Supantha Bhattacharya, Abhishek Chatterjee, Abhijeet Majumdar and Mohit Kakked, through their play passed an inspirational vibe through its revelations about a few harsh realities of the society.

On the other hand, the second play which was a thriller consisted of characters enacting pick-pocketers. The play was emotional, motivational, intercommunicative and apt!

The performances got lauded, and the proud faces of the artists glowed.
