Water tanker kills father, injured son

Nagpur News : A speeding tanker knocked dead a 68-year-old man and injured his son on CRPF road near Police Nagar turning over bridge on Friday morning. The accident was followed by stone pelting and protest by enraged people at MIDC police station. The protestors had demanded immediate arrest of accused driver who had run away after the accident. Till late night, police were clueless about the accused location.

Complainant Parag Bayaskar, 40, had left home few minutes away with his father Ajabrao, riding pillion on bike, when they falls victim to the reckless driving of tanker driver. Parag, a resident of Police Nagar, escaped with minor injuries while Bayaskar was crushed to death by the rear wheels of the water tanker.

Police said that the father-son duo were heading to meet a relative in city when they were knocked down the by the tanker. Police has seized the tanker and registered a case against the driver.
