Wadi cops book three in defraud case

Cases of forgery and fraud are on rise in Orange City these days. Adding to the list, a case of fraud came to light when one Abhishek Dilip Jha (30), a resident of Mohan Nagar near Post Office, lodged a complaint with Wadi Police Station, on Wednesday.

According to police, Abhishek Jha, working at Asia Company, has given order to accused Shrishankar, owner of Durgapur Carrying Corporation to deliver 16 tonne Silica Manganese from Kolkata to Wadi at his godown at Wadadhamana, Shivkrupa Complex, Shop No. 14 and 15. According to police, the order was to be delivered between 19/11/12 and 29/12/13 but Shrishankar procrastinated to deliver the order. Abhishek then gave a written complaint to Wadi Police Station against Shrishankar. When the order was not delivered even on Wednesday, Abhishek lodged a complaint against Shrishankar, the truck driver Gurmeet Singh Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon (PB 02 AP 9977) and Chanchal Singh Sandhu, owner of Sandhu Road Lines.

Wadi police have booked the accused and registered a case of defraud under the IPC Sec 407 and 34, informed PSI Gajbhiye. Further investigations are on.
