In a significant development, the city-based Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) and Belarusian State University on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Technology Development and Research Collaboration in the field of Communication Electronics, Information and Technology, and Radio Electronics. The MoU was also signed on Student and Faculty Exchange.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at a programme held at VNIT Hall in the presence of Speaker of Council of the Republic of Belarus and former Prime Minister Dr Mikhail Myasnikovich and Dr Mikhail Batura and VNIT’s Chairman Vishram Jamdar and Director Narendra Chaudhary. Others present on the occasion include Belarus’s Vitali Vovoc, Simain Shapiro, Bladimir Senco, Nikolai, Kazerovates, Tamara, Dolgoshai, Yuri Koziyatako, Marat Zilinski, Mikhail Maitalikov, and also Joint Secretary of Maharashtra Legislature Mahendra Kaj, Secretary of Speaker Sunil Zore.

During President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Belarus, a decision was taken to sign such pacts in academic collaborations under mutual cooperation programmes.
