Video : Chandrashekhar Bawankule says Nagpur will become India’s No.1 City in 3 years

Nagpur: State Energy Minister and Nagpur district Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule is all confident about his government’s plan to bring Nagpur on the forefront of development and turn it into the number one city of the country. As the BJP-Shiv Sena government is completing 2 years of its tenure this October 31, Bawankule has presented a detailed account of the development in Nagpur. In an exclusive video interview with Nagpur Today, Bawankule debated that the net expenditure their goverment did on the development of Nagpur in the last 2 years is far higher than what was spent by the previous government during its 15 years into power in the state.

Bawankule also assured that the state government has been making due efforts to clear backlog of Nagpur and rest of Vidarbha. He said that both the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari have been paying special attantion towards Nagpur.

Bawankule said that some unprecendented measures are being taken to make the farmers of the region self-sufficient. He also expressed satisfaction over the road construction works in the city along with the pace at which Metro Rail and Mihan are progressing. He went on to claim that Nagpur will not only become the nation’s most modern city but will also earn the tag of IT city, adding that the city would be equipped with better civic amenities as compared to those in cities like Mumbai and Delhi.

He said that adequate steps are also taken to boost tourism in Nagpur district and build up more employment opportunities.
