Vidarbha’s women power shows up at prelims of Mrs Maharashtra contest

The sizzling hot season of Mrs Maharashtra, which sees married ladies across the state shedding their inhibitions on the ramp, is back again. The previous season received thunderous success post which the new season has been recently announced. The preliminary rounds for pageant was recently organised at Nagpur’s plush hotel where the contestants from all over Vidarbha gathered at the venue to show up their steam.

Apart from Nagpur, many participants dropped at the venue from Amravati, Chandrapur and other parts of the region.

There were 3 rounds at the preliminary stage – Catwalk, Introduction and Question & Answers. The participants upped the glam quotient at the do as they came dressed in vivid attires. Some of them chose to pick up traditional Maharashtrian wear.

Among the contestants were professors, financial consultants, business women and housewives. The Q & A round comprised questions over child safety with the case of Pradyuman Thakur in point, social awareness and political ones too.

The panel included 6 jury members –
Neha Shahu, who is also state director of the event, Karl Mascarehans, Asma Upare, Swati Banerjee, Umama Ahmed
and Sholly Sethi.

After the preliminary rounds were over, more than 20 contestants were shortlisted through registration.

Results would be declared within a week through telephonic call from Pune.

Selected contestants from all over Maharashtra would be groomed in Pune during 3-4 days workshop. Finale is likely to be held next month.

Winner of this contest would be featured at cover page of Gruhalaxmi magazine apart getting many other big prizes and new projects.
