After completing LLB, Pendharkar joined VICCO group. His study of law always helped the VICCO Group. Because of him, VICCO Group succeeded in winning the 30-year old legal battle. His guidance in all the arguments made in the court proved successful.

VICCO carved a niche for itself in the Ayurvedic products market. It competed with big multinational companies and created its own space. Yeshwant Pendharkar had joined his elder brother Gajananrao in taking the company to a new height. VICCO originated in Mumbai but it has a strong Nagpur link. While Gajananrao, his son Sanjeev and others looked after its Mumbai establishment, Yeshwantrao and Jayantrao settled in Nagpur to manage VICCO unit at Hingna MIDC, Nagpur.

After the sad demise of Gajananrao in 2015, followed by his youngest brother Ashok the very next year, Yeshwantrao took over the reins of Chairmanship in 2016. Under his leadership, VICCO adopted new technology and accordingly raised its market share occupying the place in the heart of people. Under his Chairmanship, the company got several awards related to export. He was known as a soft leader in the industry sector. He had fluency in Sanskrit and was fond of reading religious scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and Ramayan. In his death, people have lost a learned and considerate personality.
