Nagpur: VIA Lady Entrepreneurs Wing had recently organised an industrial visit to Mahatma Gandhi institute of Rural industrialization (MGIRI) for the benefit of their members.
A delegation of 31 members including executive committee members and other members visited MGIRI, Wardha under the leadership of Vandana Sharma, President, and Shachi Mallick, secretary, VIA LEW.
The delegates on arrival were welcomed by Dr.P B Kale, Director, MGIRI who motivated the members to involve themselves into any economic activities and avail the training provided by experts at MGIRI.
Jai Kishore Changani, M Sc, PhD from Bio processing and herbal division, MGIRI informed the delegates about the various training programs available for the innovative herbal products developed at MGIRI, Wardha.This was followed by a visit to Khadi and textile division where the delegates were guided about all the technologies and various steps involved in the process of manufacturing and colouring clothes.
Pragati Gokhale, Senior scientific Officer, MGIRI also welcomed the members. Vandana Sharma, Shachi Mallick, Madhubala Singh and Prafulata Rode delivered a talk on Radio channel of Wardha to promote ‘Udyojika’ –An all Eve’s Exhibition annually organised by VIA LEW.
This was followed by a visit to Rural Energy & Infrastructure Division where the various solar products, LED light products were shown across to the delegates. All the lady entrepreneurs generally had a rich learning experience and particularly had their doubts cleared regarding the products belonging to their sector at MGIRI,Wardha
Secretary Shachi Mallick, Vice-president Reeta Lanjewaar, Treasure Poonam Lala & PRO Shikha Khare worked hard for the success of visit.
