Nagpur: The premier organization for the promotion and development of Industry in the region, Vidarbha Industries Association which has been working for more than five decades celebrated its 53rd Foundation Day on September 24, 2016.
While speaking exclusively with Nagpur Today, President of VIA Atul Pande said that VIA is now catering to Industrialist across Vidarbha and perhaps is the only organization which is truly working for Industrialist of Vidarbha.
He claimed that with Multi forums, VIA is working towards enhancing the Industries and the Industrialists, VIA is now 
reaching out not only to the urban based entrepreneurs but also the rural entrepreneurs. He went on to say that with their efforts many MoUs were signed between Vidarbha based Industrialists and foreign countries based Industries. He added that with their efforts MIHAN too is coming up nicely. Many industries including Patanjali have come up in the MIHAN CEZ.
The other office bearers including Secretary of VIA Subhash Budde opined that VIA has come a long way. In the past 53 years of its inception, VIA has become strengthened and with the efforts of the founder members and the continuous efforts of new office-bearers, VIA has grown from one maturity to another, one level to another.
VIA as it is fondly known was formed on September 24, 1964 with the sole objective of achieving rapid industrialization which is recognized by the Government as a pioneer regional industries association.
VIA has been working with a sole mission to act as a catalyst between various stakeholders and authorities to create harmonious environment for accelerated industrial growth, to provide unified platform for policy advocacy at all levels, to create, nurture and develop entrepreneurship and business leadership and to enhance managerial and technical competency and excellence.
The office-bearers of VIA are said to enjoy representation on several Central and State Government Committees for industry.VIA is affiliated to FICCI, AIMO, MEDC, CII etc.
